My Experience

I have worked in social care in numerous roles with adults, young people and families over the last 12 years, which have all provided me with valuable experiences and significantly informed my practice today. I initially qualified with a BA (Hons) Social Work and I found my passion has always been working with and supporting those with mental health difficulties. This sparked my interest and passion for psychological therapies and I spent time working in acute and community mental health settings.  Going through therapy myself inspired me to want to be able to support others in this way. This led me to completing a Post Graduate Diploma in CBT. I have also undertaken additional training in Compassion Focused Therapy and working alongside Long Term Conditions such as Chronic Pain, IBS and Diabetes.

I am enthusiastic about supporting people to make meaningful changes in their lives. I have a warm, compassionate, client focused approach to therapy.

I am a fully accredited member of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP), which means I have to maintain high standards of professionalism and ensure my skills and knowledge are up to date. I am bound by the Codes of Ethics and Practice of the BABCP, so you can have confidence in the treatments and support that I offer.

I am currently employed in my local NHS IAPT service, alongside working in private practice. I provide evidence based treatments in line with NICE guidelines and tailor therapy to you, viewing each person as a unique individual, to ensure you get the most out of your therapy.

I am insured and have an enhanced DBS which is available on request.
